1. What This Service Is
Folsom Residents Directory is a privately operated reference service. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning people who live or have lived in Folsom, California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a public office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use the service only for lawful, personal, and responsible purposes. You may not use it or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, copy, or republish service content at scale
- Disrupt the service or attempt to defeat its security
3. No Consumer Reports
Folsom Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the pages nor results from a linked search tool are consumer reports, and neither may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.
4. External Services
Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, operate under their own policies. Folsom Residents Directory does not control their content, uptime, fees, or data practices.
5. No Warranty
The service is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a statement is complete, accurate, or current, or that an outside portal will operate or produce a correct result.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record reached through it.
7. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Copyright and Content
Original text, design, logo, and layout belong to the service operators and are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short, attributed excerpt is welcome. Full-page republication and systematic copying are not.
9. Term Updates
A revised version may be posted here. Continued use after the revision is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Access Restrictions
Access may be blocked or limited when a user violates these terms or abuses the service. That action may be taken at the operators' discretion and without advance notice.
11. Governing Law
California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Public-record references are informed by the California Public Records Act, Gov. Code §§7920.000-7931.000, while personal-data rights may arise under the California Consumer Privacy Act, Civ. Code §1798.100 et seq. Those statutes govern public custodians and qualifying privacy requests; they do not turn this private reference into a records custodian.
12. Severability
If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
13. Questions
